THE MONTH IN HOPE

Welcome to the website for LET’s Hope Foundation ("LET’s Hope"). LET’s Hope was formally created in 2009 and is presently under process of becoming a 501c(3) nonprofit organization. The initial charitable purpose for LET’S Hope is to generate funding for the Center of Integrative Medicine ("CIM") at the University of Colorado Hospital Anschutz Medical Campus. Funds raised will be used to assist income limited cancer patients (all types) to receive the amazing therapies offered by the CIM.

The CIM provides for the combination and coordination of conventional alternative and complimentary tangible medicine to treat the entire person. Its services include:

  • Massage Therapy
  • Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
  • Chiropractic
  • Health and Wellness Visits
  • Herb and Supplement Consult
  • Nutritional Counseling
  • Mind/Body Therapy
  • Spiritual Counseling
  • Yoga and tai Chi

By blending the best elements of complementary and alternative medicine therapies with conventional Western medicine, the CIM provides a safe holistic approach to health care to optimize wellness. For cancer patients in particular, these services are invaluable as they help medically counter the often brutal effects of Western cancer treatments and offer support, comfort and hope to the individual.

Unfortunately the CIM’s services are often not covered by insurance. This leaves cancer patients that are income limited in a difficult position. In many cases they are unable to experience the full benefits of the CIM to assist them in their physical, emotional and spiritual battle against cancer. LET's Hope's mission is to raise awareness for the CIM in our community. We are also focused on providing funding to the CIM to improve its services and to be able to financially support income limited cancer patients that need help from the CIM.

Thank you for your support or consideration of support of LET's Hope. You are helping to create a tangible benefit for someone in desperate need in our community tomorrow that otherwise would not exist. As I have learned (and continue to learn) in cancer situations as well as life in general, all of our moments are invaluable. The idea that those in serious need of what the CIM offers who may also have a more acute definition of "moments" are being turned away uncomforted is simply heartbreaking. LET's Hope is going to change this.
